Welcome to The Official Mentor-Mentee Program Webpage

What is the Mentor-Mentee Program?

Mentor-Mentee is an enhancement of the Conversation Club. Simply put, ISC hopes to pair non-native English speakers with native and upper class non-native speakers to practice English and exchange helpful information on social adjustment issues.

Why should I be a Mentor or Mentee?

Mentors help mentee like teachers and students but they also become friends and interact informally.

How is it different from Conversation Club and How can I become a Mentor or Mentee?

This program goes beyond conversation sessions. Mentors and mentees hang out and engage in other activities like grocerry shopping, using the bus service, applying for a drivers licience, tax completion, etc. To become a mentor or mentee just click on the link below, save it, and then email to mm@iupisc.org

Hello,

I am very excited to be part of the Mentor Mentee Program. I began working on it in the spring of this year. We have come a long way. From only a handful of members today we hve more than 26 members. I would like to thank all the participants and my committee members   for their enthusiasm and support.

Hello!

First and foremost I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude for being able to become a member of this wonderful club.  I have always been fascinated by world cultures and I feel this will be a great opportunity for me to learn more about them.

I was born and raised in Pakistan.
I moved here 4 years ago to be with my family.  I am a first semester senior currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in accounting.  I am a typical college student who wants to have a good time.  I love to learn and will try anything at least once. This club will hopefully give me an opportunity to learn and grow as a person.

As a vice chair for mentor-mentee committee, I hope to help Waha in bringing people from different backgrounds together.
